Maria Pozzi è Ricercatore a tempo determinato junior (RTD-A) presso l’Università di Siena e ha conseguito la Laurea Triennale (Ingegneria informatica e dell’informazione, 2013), la Laurea Magistrale (Computer and automation Engineering, 2015) e il Dottorato di Ricerca (Ingegneria e Scienza dell’Informazione, 2019), tutti con lode presso l’Università degli Studi di Siena. Nel 2018 ha vinto il RAS Haptics Grant promosso dall’IEEE RAS Technical Committee on Haptics. Nel 2021, è stata selezionata come “RSS Pioneer” ed è stata invitata come relatrice per l'”IFRR Global Robotics Colloquium on The Future of Robotic Manipulation”. I suoi principali interessi di ricerca includono: presa robotica, simulazione e modellazione di robot soft, interfacce tattili per la collaborazione uomo-robot e robotica educativa. Dal 2021 è Associate Editor per la conferenza IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems (IROS) e dal 2023 è Associate Editor per la rivista IEEE Robotics and Automation Magazine.

Maria Pozzi is Assistant Professor (RTD-A) at University of Siena and received her B.S. (Computer and Information Engineering, 2013), M.S. (Computer and Automation Engineering, 2015), and Ph.D. (Information Engineering and Science, 2019), all cum laude from the University of Siena (Italy). In 2018, she won the RAS Haptics Grant promoted by the IEEE RAS Technical Committee on Haptics. In 2021, she was selected as one of the RSS Pioneers and she was invited speaker at the IFRR Global Robotics Colloquium on The Future of Robotic Manipulation. Her main research interests include: robotic grasping, simulation and modeling of soft robots, haptic interfaces for human-robot collaboration, and educational robotics. Since 2021 she is Associate Editor for the IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems (IROS) and since 2023 she is Associate Editor of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Magazine.
